What will our world look like in 20 or 30 years? Will it be hotter? Will parcels be delivered by drones? What tasks will AI take over? What will be allowed – and what won’t? Between October 20 and November 14, Schmalkalden will transform into a public laboratory for the future. Along a city walking route, speculative signposts invite visitors to explore possible futures, question them, and engage in conversation. Signs of Change is an invitation to imagine and participate: What kind of future do we want? What kind of future do we want to prevent? And how can we position ourselves today to actively shape both? The exhibition, walks and workshops were funded by the German Democracy Fund.
